Here, siblings attend a workshop that is fun and provides a space for learning through various activities. They are for children aged seven to twelve who are siblings of brothers or sisters who have special needs.
SIBSHOPS provide siblings (and even close friends) an opportunity to; Meet other brothers and sisters who “know” what it’s like to be a sibling; Have an opportunity to talk about, and to listen to, others’ concerns related to being a sibling of a child with special needs, in a supportive non-judgmental environment; and make new friends, learn new games, do crafts, share a meal, and have a lot of fun. Participants should dress comfortably and be ready for action! Parents bring in $5 per child. Lunch is provided. Scholarship is available.
