ARC’s Valentines Dance For Citizens With Developmental Disabilities
Rutland, VT – January 29, 2015. The Rutland Lodge of Elks #345 will sponsor the ARC Rutland Area Valentines Dance for citizens with Developmental Disabilities and their families. It will be held at the Elks Lodge on Pleasant Street in Rutland on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 1-4 PM. “It is an absolute human certainty that no one can know his own beauty or perceive a sense of his own worth until it has been reflected back to him in the mirror of another loving, caring human being.” ― John Joseph Powell, The Secret of Staying in Love.
The Valentines Dance is offered to the community as a place for gathering, sharing and caring; creating or expanding natural circles of support and moving! Everyone needs to call in to reserve a lunch and be put on the ride list (if needed), 775-1370. One does not have to be a member to attend, however, a donation at the door would be appreciated. Young and old friends can find the dance advantageous.
ARC Rutland Area is an organization that advocates for the rights of citizens with Developmental Disabilities and their families to be regarded as valued citizens with the same entitlements as non-disabled individual, including the right to lifelong opportunities for personal growth and full participation in the community.
