SIBSHOPS provide brothers and sisters (and even close friends) an opportunity to:
- Meet other brothers and sisters who “know” what it’s like to be a sibling
- Have an opportunity to talk about, and to listen to, others’ concerns related to being a sibling of a child with special needs, in a supportive non-judgmental environment
- Make new friends, learn new games, do crafts, share a meal, and have a lot of fun
SIBSHOPS are for:
Children aged seven to twelve, who are siblings of brothers and sisters who have special needs.
Participants should dress comfortably and be ready for action! Parents bring in $5 per child per session. Includes lunch. Scholarship is available. Scheduled Sibshops are located on the event calendarSibshops are a collaborative effort of Rutland Family Support Network volunteers, Vermont Family Network, ARC Rutland Area, Rutland Mental Health Services, VT I-Team, Madi’s Fund.
